Long before Corporate Governance became a concept, Louis VYNCKE instilled the company with a strong sense of responsibility, accountability and transparency towards all its stakeholders. The Vynckeneers are not all-powerful and for sure not all-knowing and therefore we deemed it useful and necessary to reinforce our team with external independent Directors. We have carefully searched and found enlightened people, all respected in their own fields of success. Our Board of Directors is now made up of Peter and Dieter VYNCKE, and three independent professionals:

Farhad Forbes

(born 1955) holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master’s in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business ; R&D technical staff of Hewlett Packard Company in Palo Alto, California ( 1979-1982 ) ; Past Chairman – Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Family Business Network (FBN-I) India, CII Western Region, and CII Western Region Family Business Sub – Committee ; Member of the Sloan Program Advisory Board at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Currently Director of Forbes Marshall ( 1982-Current ) ; Member of the Advisory Council at the StanfordGraduate School of Business (since 2012); Co-chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) National Committee on Affirmative Action ; Member of the Executive Committee of Family Business Network International ; Director of Codel International UK ; Member of other company boards.

Johan Van Den Driessche

(born 1953) holds Master’s in Commercial and Financial sciences and in Fiscal Sciences ; Chairman of KPMG EU Tax Centre (2006-2009), Managing Partner of KPMG Tax & Legal Belgium (1994-2006) ; Member of the Board of Directors of KPMG Belgium (1994-2006); Was part time Prof. at Brussels Business School and Antwerp University Management School; Author of various books and numerous articles.

Formerly (Independent) Company Director with companies Gimv and VAB ; Chairman of vtbKultuur and Board Member of Voka-Comité Brussels (President in 2002-2004) (Flemish Brussels employers Federation), HUB (University College of Brussels) and VIW ( Flemings in the World).

Ludo Sarens

(born 1952) is a certified Commercial Engineer; his professional career started at BLUE BELL, a wholly owned subsidiary of WRANGLER 1977-1978; in January 1979 he moved to the company SARENS NV starting as the Head of Accounting and later becoming Assistant to the General Manager; in 1988, was promoted to become General Manager of SARENS.

In 2006 Ludo was further promoted to become the President of SARENS and still holds this position today.
