As a General Ledger Accountant you play a crucial role in ensuring the truthfulness and integrity of our financial records. You are in charge for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. Your responsibilities are essential for maintaining transparency, accuracy, and reliability in financial reporting.
YOUR FUNCTION
As a GL Accountant you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records – ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and contributing to our overall financial health.
-You manage and reconcile the GL accounts.
-You are responsible for the monthly closing of your entities. You assist in the year-end closing processes.
-You ensure all local statutory obligations are met such as VAT and Intrastat returns, preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns, … You assist with the external audit.
-You ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
-You prepare financial statements and reports.
-You answer questions of the business
-You participate in the development and improvement of financial processes.
YOUR PROFILE
-Master Degree in Economics or Accountancy & Finance
-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an industrial context.
-You have a very good knowledge of VAT & tax regulations.
-Experience in an international context is a nice bonus.
-You are communicative and enjoy working in a team.
-You have an excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-You have a very good knowledge of Dutch & English
