As Project Layout Designer, you are responsible for the high-level 3D design of our energy plants. The coordination of the detailed design is done in close cooperation with the Project Design Engineer and the Mechanical Designers of the project.
YOUR FUNCTION
- You are responsible for making the 3D design of our energy plants for the customer, considering the contractual agreements.
- When designing, you keep in mind the budget consequences and evaluate where extra calculations are needed.
- You think realistically and check you layout design considering good accessibility to parts which need manual handling or regular maintenance.
- Together with the Project Director, you assign the detailed drawings to internal and external resources.
- You give instructions and organize a handover to our mechanical designers and subcontractors, so they can work out the detailed design. You are responsible for the daily follow-up of these subcontracted drawings.
- You communicate frequently and pro-actively with the other team members about the status and progress of the project drawings.
- You support sales requests by providing a sales layout for new projects in sales phase.
- In this role, you report to the Unit Manager.
YOUR PROFILE
- You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical design or you are equivalent through experience. This position is also open for recent graduates.
- You have experience with 2D & 3D software. At VYNCKE we use Autocad, Inventor, Revit and Navisworks.
- You can recognize yourself in the following treats: meticulous and creative with a practical mindset.
- You are a team player and you can express yourself fluently in English.
- You have a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
