Bring your VYNCKE installation up to today’s security standards. This upgrade replaces the current remote-support tool with a managed remote-connection gateway and adds a firewall. Together, they create a DMZ (demilitarized zone) between your IT network and your process network. This way, service stays fast and simple, while your installation stays protected, controlled and auditable!
What does this upgrade mean for you?
Faster, safer troubleshooting by VYNCKE
When something goes wrong, our service engineers can connect within minutes instead of travelling to site. They receive the appropriate access to the HMI, PLC and edge devices, while you stay in control. Sessions can require your approval, expire automatically, and be logged or recorded. The result is faster diagnosis, less downtime and a complete record of every intervention.
Safe remote access for your own operators
Your operators, engineers and group managers can reach the HMI from outside the control room through an authenticated, encrypted connection with MFA (multi-factor authentication). They connect only to the HMI, without a VPN connection into the plant or shared passwords. Each person sees only the installations and devices assigned to their role. This makes out-of-hours checks and follow-up from another site safer and easier.
How do we help secure your installation?
- Managed remote-access gateway: a certified and actively monitored industrial gateway connects to a secure cloud platform.
- Least privilege, per plant & device: users can access only their assigned installations and devices.
- Logging & session recording: requests, approvals and sessions are logged. VYNCKE service sessions can be recorded for audit and traceability.
- Role-based access & MFA: individual email invitation for every user, with 2FA sign-in. Roles, groups and profiles determine what each user can access.
- Time-limited & approved sessions: access can expire automatically, and you can approve or deny each session with one click by e-mail.
- Industrial DMZ & firewalls: an IT/OT firewall creates a buffer zone between your enterprise network and the process network.
Why act now?
- Today’s remote-support tools lack certification, MFA and role-based access. This can leave your installation vulnerable. The upgrade helps reduce cybersecurity risk, preserve service availability and limit downtime.
- NIS2 has been in force since October 2024 and requires many entities to take appropriate cybersecurity measures, such as access control, MFA and incident handling.
- The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) adds product-security obligations for connected hardware and software. Timeline: entered into force Q4 of 2024. Reporting obligations apply from Q3 of 2026, and all mandatory requirements apply from Q4 of 2027.
- IEC 62443 offers a practical OT framework with concepts such as defense in depth, zones and conduits, and controlled remote access.
How it works:
Assess: our specialists review your network, the current remote access and the devices that need to be reached.
Upgrade: we install the gateway, IT/OT firewall and Industrial DMZ, then configure the correct roles and access profiles.
Connect & hand over: we test the new setup on your installation, and show your operators how to use it.
Follow up: VYNCKE actively monitors the remote-connection gateway to ensure it is available for when support is needed
